Rancho Housing Services

Housing provides all of us with a sense of place. It allows us to become part of the community and participate in the social and political process. It provides a place for us to retreat from the chaos and stress of our daily lives – it’s the place where we can sleep soundly. And it’s the place where we keep our personal treasures (family photos, letters, and mementos). Safe and decent housing is an essential ingredient to the well-being of each individual in our society. Housing is the fabric of a healthy community.

Why housing? Because, housing is an investment in our communities

Rancho Housing Services programs show the breadth and depth of our commitment to improving affordable housing and homeownership opportunities.  Our client population is very-low to moderate income families, primarily living in the rural communities of Eastern Riverside County; with literacy and/or language challenges.

Our commitment starts with helping individuals and families develop the skills they need to become homeowners. But it doesn't stop there. We are also committed to recognizing the special challenges of families in rural areas. Our comprehensive housing services program includes:

  • First-time homebuyer education
  • SB800 Home Maintenance Education and management
  • Credit Counseling
  • Loss Mitigation education
  • Mortgage Loan Packaging
  • Mortgage Assistance loans and grants processing
  • Down payment Assistance processing
  • Notary Services

Lack of information and/or lack of understanding information often become a barrier that stops even the most financially well prepared individuals from seeking homeownership. Through its bilingual educational efforts, local residents can attend workshops on home buying, credit counseling, and home maintenance provided by certified staff that will guide them through the homeownership process and beyond.  Through Rancho’s innovative partnerships with National and local organizations, cities, and counties, we are able to provide one-stop education and loan packaging to help break down these barriers.
