Education

For many, Education is viewed as the foundation for the future. Understanding past societies, events, and accomplishments for application to present and future development is necessary for all generations to thrive and grow.  Without formal education our growth as a people is stalled. 

Barriers such as social, economic, geographic, linguistic, and/or cultural in nature, threaten the educational development of generations in rural communities.  The lack of access to technological resources, and learning tools that support scholastic achievement threaten the development of adults and children in rural communities by comparison to those of urbanized communities. 

DACE’s dedication to education is founded in the recognition of these barriers and we are committed to supporting programs and organizations that:

• Complement school-based instruction
• Promote educational excellence and achievement
• Promote early childhood development and well being
• Encourages social and behavioral development in teens
• Provide access to technology, learning aids, and assistance
• Provide job training for vocational and occupational opportunities
• Provides financial support to individuals seeking higher education

Space for learning resource centers that provide tutors, computers, internet access and homework assistance, as well as classes for personal enrichment are planned within facilities
for each community that DACE serves.  Additionally, we provide scholarships for High School Seniors and Adults pursuing higher education, vocational and/or occupational training and summer internships.

Through community partnerships, DACE hopes to some day provide on-site job training for Childcare providers and workers, computer and data entry, construction, and general office operations.  Other training opportunities will continue to be developed that are in keeping with the demand for employment at various industries within the Coachella and Palo Verde Valley.  

Through our collaboration with parents, students, schools, and community organizations, DACE hopes to see the current generation exceed the expectations of the past. Rising above and moving beyond these barriers and clearing the way for future generations to excel.
